Picture this:  A dog is laying dead on the road.  As often as we see this, no one really gives it any thought.  We veer one way or the other to go around, and we’re on our merry way.  Then, when just the right person comes along, the dog gets carelessly plowed over again.  As people continue to pass by, even less attention is payed to the remains of some one’s “family member.”  And by the time the owner finds it the next day, there isn’t much left to scoop up and give a proper burial to.  Overall, very few people who saw the dog, including the person who originally hit it, cared.

I often feel like that dog.  With all of the ups and downs life has to offer, the only thing making it worthwhile is the few people who actually care. I wasn’t a top-notch student in high school, nor did I care to be, and I’ve spent a lot of time bouncing from one manual labor job to the next.  I’ve battled with depression and a twisted sense of reality all of my life.   I’ve never been able to see things the way most people do, which usually left me feeling lost and misunderstood.  And just as most people find a little hobby to get their minds off of the every day grind, I always turned to art.  Art has served not only as a comfort zone, but also as a way to connect to the world around me.   And I’ve also found over the years that a lot of other people have felt like that dog in the road that gets hit repeatedly until someone cares enough to give it a proper burial.

With that said, No Bones Art has been in the making for many years.   I’ve found the greatest sense of accomplishment through brightening the lives of others with my abilities.  Whether drawing a portrait of some one’s child or spouse, a tattoo pattern, or airbrushing a mural, my work isn’t done until the customer is happy with the results.  Art isn’t just a job for me, it’s a passion.  I honestly enjoy every minute of it, even when I’m temporarily stumped on some particular part of a piece I’m working on.  The main thing that helps me to excel in my work is that I’m my biggest critic.  And after many years of refining my skills, I finally have the opportunity to make the services offered by No Bones Art available to anyone and everyone.
