This painting comes from a client’s request for a 24″x48″ image of trees in the foreground of a view of a full moon using the color scheme of the room.  Some of it is airbrushed, some hand painted.  But I felt it was best to stay away from a lot of intricate detail in hopes that it would stay identifiable for the concept it portrays at a glance.  In the preliminary sketches, most of which were exactly what you would expect to see when looking up at  a night sky, the client and myself agreed that this design is unique.  The trees have a “viney” feel that form hearts growing in different sizes and directions.  The painting hangs centered above the head board in the master bedroom and contributes to a smooth visual flow across the room.
